New book by Village Junkiri Children
In Our Global Village: Life in a Nepalese Jungle Village Through the Eyes of its Children presents a visual tale of living in the village of Debniya Basti, Jhapa, Nepal. It was done mostly by students at Village Junkiri School and some older children of this village for other children around the world. The book project was coordinated by art therapist/professor Einat Metzl and her colleague Amir Rosenmann. With GALA’s assistance, Einat and Amir went to East Nepal in August 2008 to spend time and work with the local children. This book is the result of that experience. GALA is honored to have collaborated with Einat and Amir on this project and we are very excited about the outcome. In Our Global Village: Life in a Nepalese Jungle Village Through the Eyes of its Children is a beautiful and inspiring book that provides a unique view of life on the Terai plain of Nepal.
